About
Everything repeats. The same sounds. The same patterns. Even the birds seem to know a song they've never been taught.
So I built a room where nothing can be heard twice.
Every touch creates a sound that has never existed and will never exist again. No recordings. No replays. No memory.
Some sounds are beautiful. Others feel like they shouldn't exist.
The counter isn't a score. It's how many impossible little moments you've witnessed. What you do with that number is your business.
If something stays with you, tell me what you heard. I'd love to know.
Neither of us will ever be able to prove it happened.

Almost nothing. Everdin runs entirely in your browser. It does not ask who you are, it has no accounts, and it does not send what you play anywhere. The sounds are made on your device and die on your device.
The one thing it keeps is the number of sounds you have witnessed. That count is stored in your browser's local storage so it survives between visits. It never leaves your browser. Clear the site's data and it is gone.
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers. The page loads two typefaces from Google Fonts; that request goes to Google, which may see your IP address and is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
If any of this changes, this page will say so before it does. If you have a question, write to me.
bob@thequackory.comTerms
Everdin is a free experience. Use it however you like.
Mind your ears. Every sound here is generated at random and can be sudden, harsh, or loud. Keep your volume moderate, especially with headphones, and stop if anything hurts. The visuals glow and move; if you are sensitive to motion or flickering light, take care.
Everdin is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for anything that happens because of your use of it.
The name Everdin, its design, and its code belong to me. Anything you record of what you hear is yours to keep and share. You were the only witness.
These terms may change; the current version is the one shown here. This is plain language, not legal advice.
